Number of flowers in a bouquet - how to choose the right number
You can take into account the number of flowers in the arrangement:
1 - usually one flower is given by a person who is shy about openly showing their feelings. Often a single rose or lily signifies fidelity and a hint that you are the most precious thing in that person's life;
3 - three flowers symbolise the intertwining of three symbols - faith, hope, love - and can also have a philosophical meaning: yesterday (or past), today (present), tomorrow (future);
5 - a declaration of love, romance, an invitation for a date;
7 - such a composition implies happiness and wishes for good luck. The number seven is a talisman in folklore tales;
9 - such bouquets are usually given to colleagues, recognising their authority and respect;
10 is an even number, but with this bouquet the giver hints at support and desire to do something nice, to help;
11 - a person shows desire to maintain friendly relations: such compositions are usually presented to sisters or best girlfriends;
13 - this number of flowers is presented to unpleasant people to whom they want to express contempt;
15 or more - suitable for anniversaries, major celebrations, as a sign of respect for the birthday or hero of the occasion.
Today it is common to make bouquets according to the number of years lived, but still an even number should not be given, it is better to add one more flower and wish a great next year - let this flower become a symbol of a new stage in life.
